Fairy Floss Snack Stand

Cotton Candy and Boba Tea stand inspired by fairies, rugs, and sand art.

My goal was to shrink guests down to the size of a garden fairy, and what else should they enjoy in this space besides themed cotton candy, aka fairy floss, and delicious boba tea drinks. I was heavily inspired by the watercolor illustrations of the Disney fairies books that came out in the 2000s, textured rug art that almost looked like maps, and sand mandalas. All of this, I wanted to express with a soft and pastel color palette.

Process

1st step

Brain storm, sketch rough ideas.
2nd step

Use Autodesk Maya to do a basic 3D layout for all three shots.
3rd Step

Color block and add details to 3d model.
4th Step

Take the 3D mock-up from Maya into to preferred drawing program, in this case, a mix of Procreate and Clip Studio Paint. Sketch on top and refine the details
5th Step

1st draft, get feed back.
6th Step

Apply feed back, refine, add in lighting details. Then get more feed back.
